QCPD Drone Squadron
The Philippine National Police Drone System is a program that utilizes unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), also known as drones, for various police operations and activities. The PNP Drone System is used to enhance public safety, monitor criminal activities, and assist in disaster response efforts, among other things. The drones used by the PNP are equipped with high-resolution cameras, GPS navigation systems, and other advanced technologies to support their operations.
According to Quezon City Police District director Brig. Gen. Nicolas D. Torre III. The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will deploy drones as they are very useful to possess the ability to reach areas by just merely controlling them. Also, they can be used for surveillance and other operations pertaining to police work. The Quezon City Police District launched a drone squadron that will help the police in monitoring different areas in the city.
They are typically operated by trained PNP personnel and can be deployed in designated locations.
