PROJECT AURORA
The police are a constituted body of persons empowered by a state, intending to enforce the law, ensure citizens' safety, health, and possessions, and prevent crime and civil disorder. Their lawful powers include arrest and the use of force legitimized by the state via the monopoly on violence. However, policing is an ever-evolving endeavor with developments towards efficiency and competency, prioritizing crime prevention and solution. Through the leadership of the District Director of Quezon City Police District, PBGEN NICOLAS DELOSO TORRE III, the director paved the way for the establishment of the IC3, guaranteeing the 3 minutes response time of police through the TMRU, strategically placed police mobile, several CCTVs spread throughout the city, and the drones for surveillance and patrol.
This is to show the unwavering dedication of the Philippine National Police in doing their duties and responsibilities for the Filipinos and the country. The district director Spoke about the importance of cooperation and coordination, with the local police of the QCPD about peace and community building, towards the holistic development of all sectors regardless of religion and social class and standing in unity as Filipinos. Quezon City Police District Director PBGEN NICOLAS D TORRE III warmly welcomed the Courtesy Visit of the Guest of honor, Col Hadji Jameel RM Jaymalin (Ret), and other Muslim Leaders as he showed off The PROJECT AURORA through Advance Command and Control Center IC3 and conducted 3-Mins—response Test (SIMEX) at four chosen different streets in Quezon City. The Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) is a central command center that coordinates and manages the police operations and activities of the district.
The ICCC serves as the central hub for monitoring, managing, and controlling various police functions such as patrols, investigations, and emergency response. The ICCC is typically equipped with advanced technologies such as surveillance cameras, GPS, and computer systems that enable real-time monitoring of police activities and the rapid exchange of information among police units. It is also connected with other command centers and agencies, such as local government units, barangay officials, and emergency responders, to ensure a coordinated and efficient response to various incidents. The primary purpose of the ICCC is to enhance the operational efficiency of the police force by providing real-time situational awareness and enabling quick and effective decision-making. The ICCC also provides the capability for the police force to respond quickly to incidents, improving their ability to protect the community and maintain peace and order in the Quezon City area.
